Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy (R) appointed Adam Crum as commissioner of Alaska’s Department of Revenue effective November 16, 2022. Prior to that, he served as commissioner of the state Department of Health and Social Services starting in 2018 and then as commissioner of health once the department split in 2022.
A native of Alaska, Crum earned a BS in psychology from Northwestern University and an MS in public health from Johns Hopkins. Prior to public service, he worked in strategic management, organizational development, executive consulting, and as executive vice president of his family’s company, Northern Industrial Training.
