Thomas Beadle

About 

Thomas Beadle has served as North Dakota’s state treasurer since 2021 and is next up for reelection in 2024. Before being elected treasurer, he was a state representative from 2010-20. 

North Dakota requires its treasurer to serve on six state boards overseeing: investments, the teachers retirement fund, land set aside for universities and schools, tax equalization, state history, and canvassing.

Beyond public office, Beadle has worked as a real estate broker for KW Commercial in the Fargo area since 2009 and also worked for almost three years as a business development manager for Super Studio.

  • Signed a letter to the banking industry warning that state financial officers “will be taking collective action in response to the ongoing and growing economic boycott of traditional energy production industries by U.S. financial institutions” (11/22/21)
  • Signed a letter to U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry expressing “deep concern with recent reports” that the Biden administration is “privately pressuring U.S. banks and financial institutions to refuse to lend to or invest in coal, oil, and natural gas companies” (5/25/21)
  • Signed an SFOF letter urging President Biden to withdraw his nomination of Sarah Bloom Raskin as vice chair for supervision at the Federal Reserve for her “radical banking and economic views” that would “disrupt the private banking sector, reliable energy supplies, and the U.S. economy” (1/31/21)
